Russell Morgan
COO
Mr. Morgan brings
strong service marketing and operations experience to MCNE. As COO of
the Company since March 2006, Mr. Morgan's primary responsibilities
include setting development priorities and making customer commitments
for platform and product/service delivery. Prior to MCNE, he served
as Chairman and CEO of ChangeAgent, Inc., a management consulting firm
based in Dallas that provided customer value management, market development
planning, policy evaluation and transition communications services.
From 2000 to 2002 and prior to its merger with Birch Telecommunications,
Mr. Morgan served as both CIO and CMO of Ionex Telecommunications ,
a regional data-oriented Competitive Local Exchange Carrier ("CLEC")
that provided integrated local, long distance and data services to business
and residential customers located in a 14 state region of the Midwest
and Southwestern U.S.
From 1978 to 2000,
he was employed by AT&T and served in various positions focused
on marketing, product development and business operations, including
President of its Southwest Region, where he was responsible for regional
consumer and small- and medium-sized business ("SMB") marketing,
as well as customer service/billing operations. During his time as President
of AT&T Southwest, Mr. Morgan directed the rollout of AT&T local
service in Texas and the Southwest, taking the customer base from zero
to 150,000 in 9 months (the largest market share at that time for a
CLEC). As a Division Manager for Consumer Communication Services, he
developed and implemented AT&T's program to enter the local toll
market, which generated 1 billion long distance minutes of use in its
second year of operation.
Mr. Morgan graduated
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University,
Long Beach.
